Kent County Youth Fair
August 8 - 15 2009 / Lowell, MI

Tori and Beauty, and Brianna and Rambo participated in the walk/trot classes as members of the 4-H club "Stable Mates" on Saturday. Despite pouring rain and deep mud, they had many placings. Last, but not least, they had 1st and 2nd place in the dressage pattern!

Leoni and Goldie moved to the fairgrounds for a week and had a BLAST! As part of the 4-H Club "Windriders" they participated daily in many classes and were successful throughout all kinds of different horse disciplines like Cloverleaf and other speed events, Showmanship, Dressage, Western Equitation, Trail, etc. They won ribbons of every color, but most of all--they had FUN!

Rebecca had lots of fun throughout the week as an explorer with the "Stable Mates".

Congratulations to all! Karin

National Vaulting Championships
July 7-12 2009 / Lexington, KY

The Nationals were a remarkable adventure, that's for sure! It was nice seeing all of the vaulting family of the United States together at this beautiful location. There were many highlights. Watching the high level vaulting was amazing! I have never seen anything more beautiful as the "Lady in Red" freestyle from gold vaulter Joanne Eccles. Click here to view a video>

Our 2-phase team won the first place in their freestyle, which was amazing. Now we have a blue ribbon from Nationals decorating our office. That is pretty cool. Riding Caspian all over the Horse Park in the morning hours where the World Equestrian Games will take place in 2010 was a very special, memorable treat.

Congratulations to all the vaulters in Region X for their successes! Vault on! Coach Karin
